I heard that the Peak was a must for any first time visitor of Hong Kong, so after meeting some Australian guys at my hostel, I convinced them to join me on checking it out. We grabbed our cameras, tripods and some beers and headed for the top of Hong Kong. What we found was the definition of a tourist trap. Huge lines of camera clad visitors waiting for the tram to the top. When we did finally get to the top, missing sunset waiting at the bottom, we were dropped off in the middle of a full on shopping mall that we literally couldn’t seem to find our way out of. Well, we eventually did make it to the top and realized why the Peak is so popular. The view is simply world class. It’s a can’t miss for anyone visiting Hong Kong.
